ReplyDeleteis Big E a favorite of yours? I've never been but I always loved fairs back in Michigan. Do you consider it a must-do?
ReplyDeleteIt is a serious favorite of mine! In fact, I love it so much, I fear over-selling it. I grew up going with my family, and get a big thrill from returning. My husband didn't grow up going, and he likes it well enough, but doesn't have quite the passion for it that I do.
DeleteAnyways, if you liked big Michigan state fairs, this might be right up your alley. I would suggest a visit to Farmarama to see baby chicks getting hatched, and eating giant baked potatoes from Maine and apple pie w/ cheddar on top from Vermont. The last weekend (last weekend of September) is usually the most low-key, but it starts tomorrow!
