Travel vacation journal

On little trips, I love collecting brochures and tickets from places we visit and business cards from restaurants so that I can remember everything when I get home. I love being able to give friends travel recommendations, but I have a terrible memory, so without these little bits and pieces, I would never remember it all. I was lacking a good way to collect all this vacation junk, until I saw this cute idea!

I've adapted it a bit to make it slightly more adult looking. The basic idea is the same though -- label a few envelopes (I used Word clip art and my sticker maker!), attach them together with ribbon or a binder clip, and let your inner-organization-beast run wild!

This weekend we are headed to Boston, so I'll be putting my envelopes to good use!

Hope you all have fabulous, happy long weekends. Until next week, lovelies!

  1. That's a terrific idea! I may just poach it! :) Happy Weekend, and have a lovely time in Boston! {I recommend a cocktail at the Bristol Lounge in the Four Seasons - great view of the Public Garden and a very comfy place to kick back for a little while. If you have trouble deciding on a place for dinner, try Oleana in Cambridge.}

  3. MEK, Oleana looks fantastic! Thanks so much for rec.

    Ashley, I got it last year for wedding projects, but it's one of my favorite little gadgets! If you want to borrow it, say the word :)

  4. Such a cool idea...my purse is usually a mess with all the "stuff" I collect :)

  5. Lizzie, the crap in my purse and I are in constant battle with each other! Hopefully this will help streamline a little bit...

  6. Brilliant idea! I usually stuff everything into a folder and, inevitably, end up losing a few tidbits along the way. Hope you had a fun weekend in Boston! I'm heading there this weekend for a bridal shower/bachelorette party.

  7. Great idea! I love to save little mementos from our trips as well. This past trip I took the hotel notepad and scribbled down everything we did at the end of the day.
